Substance Use and Abuse: Drug Types and Adverse Effects


This course is presented by former narcotics officer Kevin Donlan to help workers identify and understand the effects of common street drugs in addition to the adverse effects on users and their families.

Participants will learn:

  • The most common types of drugs and their effects on users
  • Behaviors of users and how long drugs remain in the user’s system
  • To recognize drugs by sight and smell and how to identify drug paraphernalia
