Child Sexual Abuse Dynamics and Disclosures

Target Audience

Professionals who work with child sexual abuse investigations and treatment.


This training focuses on the dynamics of child sexual abuse disclosures including how, why, and what children say when telling professionals about what happened to them.  Children and memory functions in regards to these disclosures will also be discussed.
 Participants will learn:
  • Factors for gaining reliable child sexual abuse disclosures
  • Common misconceptions regarding child sexual abuse disclosures
  • How memory affects disclosure in children of different ages
The training is enhanced by discussing case examples from the trainer’s work in the field. 
Space is limited to 40 participants per training.
