Description

This one-hour course is designed to prepare medical professionals with the knowledge and skill they need to recognize and report child abuse and neglect.  Participants will be able to:

• Describe the proper approach with the child abuse victim and their family at an initial office visit
• Outline the mandatory reporting process and progress through legal system
• Discuss medical follow up including medical care, foster care and possible court testimony
